1.What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them?
At the start of this module I had no experience using software at all, we had illustrator workshops and I started to learn how to use it. I now feel that I can use illustrator and apply it to my work which I have done in some of the briefs such as No News Is Good News. I also think my decision making skills have improved during this module as our briefs have been very fast paced so decisions about which direction to take my work in had to made to make sure the brief was completed in time, even if it was sometimes the wrong decision, it has definitely helped me learn a lot.
2.What approaches to/methods of research have you developed and how have they informed your design development process?
I have started to look at blogs a lot more and I try and check them most days to see what new work it being put out there. I also find that now I have a blog it's a lot easier for me to document my research and reflect on work that I find that I influential.
3.What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these?
I think I keep my work neat and logical so my design processes can be clearly seen, I also think I present my ideas well I always use design sheets and sketch books, I need to keep this up through the next module.
4.What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these more fully?
I think my weaknesses lie within producing my final outcome for a brief, I feel that my final outcomes don't reflect my designs and development and I need to improve on strengthening my final outcomes and finishing work to a better standard. I think to help this happen I need to leave more time to produce my work and have as many possible ideas to work from so that I can produce the best work possible
5.Identify five things you will do differently next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these?
-Complete as many design sheets and ideas as possible so that I have more to work with when producing my finally outcome that will hopefully help me improve my work.
-Try and do more things that are out of my comfort zone, use software more and spend time to learn how to use different processes, I hope this will help me produce better work and make my work diverse and interesting.
-Keep up to date with my blogging and make my blog presentable and well designed.
-Do more of my own self directed work to run along side the brief, not just do the basic work that is required to fulfill the brief, push myself more.
